If  you wish to enter a foreign country as a worker, then you should have work visa of that country. Work or skilled visas, in general, are categories in both immigrant and nonimmigrant visa for the person who wants to enter in that country. For short-term basis you are eligible for a non-immigrant visa and if you have to visit for long-term or permanent basis then you are eligible for an immigrant visa. If you have skills or the business according to the requirement of the country in which you are applying then you can apply for work visa. If you are nominated for a skilled visa by a State or Government, then you are invited to apply for work visa of that country.

In general, work visas are used for skill jobs or long-term business purposes. Workers who want to contribute for the betterment of a society using their skills or to master their skills by working in that country are always welcomed. A businessman who wants to invest in that country or making a long-term business based relations with that country is also eligible for obtaining a separate kind of work visa under business category.


How to Apply for Work Visa:

There are different ways to apply for work visas. You can apply for work visa using online service. You can choose your skill from the categories of skill visa form. You have to complete online immigrant visa application form which contains your particulars including your photo ID. IPlus, you need to apply for a job relevant to your skills and obtain and approved job offer from the respective county.


After you have completed all these factors,t/ you have to pay a some visa fee for visa processing application. After your form is assessed by the consulate of that country, they will ask you to attend an interview. Not all work visa requires interview in person. The purpose of this interview is to know and confirm on your purpose of entering in the country. After that, you have to wait until they confirm your visa application.


Documents required:

After you have scheduled an interview with the embassy or consulate of that country, you must have the following documents with you at the time of interview. The documents are as follows;

  • Passport
  • Confirmation page of Visa Application
  • Approved job offer letter of impact assessment
  • Receipt of fee payment of application
  • Printed Photo ID that you used in application form

If you will clear the interview, you may be asked for some additional documents by the consulate of that country. One more thing, interviews are not required for applicants of certain ages.


Factors that Affect:

There are certainly positive and negative factors that affect your interview so you have to be careful about them.

Positive factors:

  • If you are more than 20 years of age
  • If you’re single
  • If you are professional in your skill
  • If you have experience of 2 or more years

Negative factors:

  • Your age is less than 20 or more than 60
  • You dont have valid job offer
  • If you are not eligible for investing in a business but applying for a business work visa.
  • You have a criminal record
  • You have a pending case in the court
  • You are involved in some suspicious activity
  • Someone may give negative information about you to consulate


After Accessing Visa:

After you are declared qualified in the interview by the consulate or embassy, you will be issued the work visa of that country.
